People work on their hobbies. All it's saying is make your work more like a hobby you enjoy than a job you hate.

Yeah what he said ^. It's basically "work like you're not in this job for the money", i.e. you're in it to enjoy it.

Lol a year later, I still hate this post. It's annoying when someone doesn't understand something and says "lol guys this joke/etc is so stupid amirite?" And everyone else who's as ignorant says "you're so right man" and the original statement now seems cool/true.

There's no need to get annoyed over something so petty. It was a small misunderstanding of a saying, and it doesn't mean I'm "ignorant" for not looking up the exact definition of this one. I just assumed it meant that at the time.
