+310 Call of Duty CAN be educational in terms of history if you pay close enough attention to the story and not just the killing people part, amirite?

Except that pretty much only the names and places are accurate. A lot of the plot is not.

i've actually learned a little bit about geography and some russian from cod :) in the first mw, i didn't know there actually is a country called azerbaijan, but i do now. and i've also learned how to say 'yes', 'no', 'shit' and 'bastard' in russian, just from the campaign :)

"educational in terms of history." Not geography or linguistics.

Suppose you didn't know anything about the cold war. You would now know it involved Cuba, Russia and the US

There is also falsified information embedded into the story. Therefore, one wouldn't be able to separate fiction from fact unless proper research was done.

Yep, Castro and JFK killed zombies together

Don't forget about Nixon

Though I know nothing about the game and plan to keep it that way, no one will ever pay close attention to the story, therefore, deeming it completely not educational and deserving to be eliminated from the Earth in a large, spontaneous video game fire.
