+207 Being single, and having to listen to your friend go on and on about how wonderful their relationship is gets really irritating, amirite?

I don't think being single has anything to do with it.

If it's your friend, it shouldn't be irritating and if it is, maybe talking about it will help.

So if all your friend ever talked about was their wonderful relationship while you don't have a boyfriend, for whatever reason, you wouldn't be irritated with them?

If that's all they did, I wouldn't be friends with them probably. It's also why a lot of friendships end when one of them starts dating and they only spend time with their partner/talk about their partner. Sad, but true.

Also the same goes for someone in a long distance relationship. They might get jealous of said friend because they see their bf/gf all the time and the person in the ldr doesn't. Ive experienced this first hand. I'm in an ldr

I'm single, and that isn't the reason I'm bothered by my friend talking about her girlfriend. I'm irritated because she talks about her 24/7!!!!!! Every time we have a conversation, she wedges a topic about her girlfriend into the convo, no matter how irrelevant or out of place it may seem. She says she is engaged to this girl, whom she has never met (long distance relationship), and she's a FRESHMAN. Being single has nothing to do with it, I just want my friend to talk about something else for once >:(
