Why is it mac vs. PC, but not Apple Vs. Windows? amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because Microsoft considers all of the computers that use their program, as as PC.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because that's a second place race. Linux is where it's at.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's actually everything vs everything.
by Anonymous13 years ago
because it's already known that apple wins
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because apple is a company, and windows is an OS brand. Apple vs microsoft would be company vs company and microsoft would win
by Anonymous13 years ago
because no one gives a shit about the companies, the common person thinks of it as macs vs anything else not made by apple.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Apple would totally pwn windows. Apple is harry potter and windows is twilight
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why if you like one (Harry Potter or Twilight) do you have to hate the other? It is quite annoying.

Anonymouse is a moron. Real geeks build/upgrade their own machines. Apple doesn't let you, because Steve Jobs is a TOOL. Pc will always pwn Mac for computers until they quit being so goddamn proprietary. All the trendwhores and Apple fanboys/girls by and large don't have the slightest clue what's going on inside their case; it's all about trendy names and spending more money than you should have to... as if that makes you cool or smart. News flash kiddos; it makes you stupid and a sucker.
by Anonymous13 years ago
actually no, i've used both mac and PC. and i will choose mac every time--not because of the price or because everyone else likes but because it is a better computer.
also, get over yourself.
by Anonymous13 years ago
why you're wrong here..
You need to upgrade your PC constantly because they suck and are always going out of date, where a Mac... that is never needed... its everything you need right out of the box and lasts for years.
yes it costs ALOT money right out of the box but in the long run you are saving money bc in the timespand that you have a mac, you would have either gone thru 2 or 3 PCs.. maybe even more, and/or would be spending the money on the upgrades. Thus spending more money on a PC.
Mac 4 life

Challenge accepted.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because there is no competition there. It's like Google v.s. Yahoo.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It would actually be Snow Leopard vs. Windows if you are going to talk about it like that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
becuse thats the name of the actual computers not the companies
by Anonymous13 years ago
Computer technology is obsolete in no more than 18 months... oftentimes, less. Therefore, saying macs last for years is pointless; pcs can last for years too, if you wanna use old shit. Personally, I'd rather be able to throw down a few hundred for new parts here and there, and stay on the cutting edge, than have to throw down several thousand every year and a half to stay current. But hey, since most of you haven't ever had to pay for anything serious yourselves, you don't really know what you're talking about anyway. Last commentor is particular is an idiot; apparently, he doesn't understand what upgrading means at all... and I guarantee at the end of those years, my machine would pwn the fuck out of his.
I can build you a pc of equal or greater power than ANY mac, for a fraction of the cost. Period. If you're not a moron, you won't have any problems with it, either.
Tell me, apple fanboys; if OSX is so great, how come macs never have more than like, 10% market share...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wow you are full of yourself. "But hey, since most of you haven't ever had to pay for anything serious yourselves, you don't really know what you're talking about anyway" You definitely need to get over yourself.
Owning a computer isn't about knowing what's going on inside it or being a technology expert, it's just having a machine that can do the tasks you want. You don't need to be a tech genius to use a computer.
Also, on a mac you can just do the things you want so much easier. For example, it's virtually impossible to record a song, or make a home movie on a PC. People say PCs are better at work stuff, but that's actually not true. Macs run Microsoft Office (better than PCs as a matter of fact) and iWork which is ten times better than Microsoft Office in the first place.
But the most important thing is that we should be able to have this debate without you being a jerk and acting like you're better than all the mac users.

At no point in that self-righteous, pointless rant did you say anything that refuted anything I said. And how exactly is it full of oneself to understand cost-effectiveness and value? If your parents, school, or someone else has always paid for everything you have, you don't have any real perspective on the difference between owning an up-to-date mac vs. an up-to-date pc. You don't have any idea what it's like to try to work a $2000+ purchase into a college/20-something budget.
Actually, you're the one that comes off full of yourself- spouting shit you heard like you understand it- and it's absolutely stupid to say that a person doesn't need to know how their machine works. It's not suprising though, because people who are willing to be price-gouged about one thing are often the same who throw money away in other areas... such as simple computer repairs/upgrades. I made $50 last week to snap someone's fan back onto their motherboard... because they didn't even bothe...
by Anonymous13 years ago
...bother to open the case before they brought it to me, and I charge $50 an hour for repairs with a 1 hour minimum.
So by all means, be an overspending dumbass getting constantly ripped off and believe the hype(I wonder if you even know what you mean when you say a mac runs a windows program "better"; better how, exactly?)- the world needs people like you. Or at least- I do. You pay my bills.
