+28 Texans: You don't ride a horse, you don't wear a cowboy hat/boots, and you don't have a heavy southern accent and say "y'all" and "howdy" all the time. We just have a bad stereotype, amirite?

... It doesn't matter. You elected Rick Perry. Your state must endure eternal shame.

And George Bush, shame on all us Texans. And even worse than these two, Jerry Jones.

I find it weird now that I didn't notice it back when I was a kid and lived there.

Texans DO say "y'all."

...no

by Anonymous 11 years ago

none of that is bad lol. it depends if you're in the country or not. I don't think really anyone says howdy but I'm from Houston and I say yall. I like riding horses and i think cowboy hat and boots are cute. bad stereotypes would be close minded, ignorant bible thumpers as GCB portrays texans. That show is a piece of garbage that makes us all look bad.

I say y'all and have a great pair of boots

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No. All peoples are EXACTLY like their stereotypes. Just like every Asian is smart and every black person loves purple drank, every Texan is an ignorant hick. Clearly you've never taken an anthropology course. It's common knowledge, don't you know?

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I wish I had that stereotype.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

We have southern accents because we are from the south...
