Yes, they do. I've had one on my belly since I was born. Why do you think they're called BIRTH marks??

I had one on my lower back when I was born, dumbass.

@962527

Is it a birthmark or a post stain?

I'm sure my twin sister has always had one, because that's how our mum used to tell us apart.

Hm, interesting. You learn something new everyday.

I thought I was nuts when I saw my daughter didn't have a birthmark so I asked the pediatrician and they told me it can take up to 3 years, not always but sometimes. Though babies are never BORN with them they can also appear with in the first 24 hours in some infants.

@Tira Not so much worried as curious.

Why would you be so curious that your baby didn't have any birthmarks? It's not like something that everyone's supposed to have.

I was under the impression that everyone had them. So I asked when we went in for one of her check ups.

Well since none of you bothered to use a real name I'll just reply like this: no they aren't go ask any pediatrician. They develop within the first two to three years off life. Do a little research before you call someone a dumbass.

No way, I've had the same mark on the side of my face since the day I was born, and there are photos to prove it.

Did you read what was written further down? And is it a birthmark or a port stain? There are differences.
