+600 You'd be less likely to judge an over weight person if they were jogging, than if they were eating a buger, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn them eating those bugers. (Yay typos.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or just live your life judging and improving yourself, while leaving others to live life a they wish without your judging eye.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thank you, Anon; a rare voice of reason on one of these stupid, shallow posts.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How is it shallow? Humans judge. Not one person on earth hasn't judged someone in their life. People judge things that are different from themselves. This post was just saying we would lessen that if they were striving to better themselves than making their weight worse.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thank you, I wasn't saying judging is ok, but it's in our human nature to. I wish that part of me was taken out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Humans judge by nature. It's not a good thing, but it's natural.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So why are you arguing? That doesn't make it not shallow.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In a sense, it does. We can't help judging people. It's who we are as a species. It's programmed into our brains. It's not because we're shallow. [The Science of Sex Appeal discusses this, sort of...]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I watched that yesterday! And yes I agree with you too...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read this as you misspelling boogers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As opposed to everyone else who you judge for jogging?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's Ender's job to destroy the buggers, thoug-- oh. Burgers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HELL YES!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would probably just be like, "Hahahaha, look at that fatso trying to exercise."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't judge overweight people. Therefore, this idea that we can't help doing it is false. It's all about the way you think; if you spend all your time focused on the outsides of people, that's what you see. That is the very definition of being shallow or superficial. I'm not saying I don't judge anyone. I judge people who go out in public looking like they haven't bathed or washed their clothes in days or even weeks... and I judge even more harshly when their children look like that. It's a goddamn shame. But it's ALWAYS a choice to maintain decent personal hygiene, and it actually says something about what kind of person someone is not to; therefore, I don't feel like this is shallow. You never know why a person is overweight, and being overweight doesn't automatically imply anything more about someone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

just as you said about the hygeine, its also always a choice for someone to go exercise and eat healthier

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sad thing is id probably still judge them cuz i am a runner so id be all like "ur doing it wrong fatty :("

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What happened to you only ever using righteous judgment? Maybe we should send you and everyone else who judges to a secluded island.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never said it was right, I know judging is a sun, and I wish the (bad) judging part of me went away.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then make it go away.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I try.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Try harder. You were so ready to tell me other people can change. You're a hypocrite if you can't change.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Besides, these are two entirly different kinds of judging, so it's not hypocritical.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Judging someone for eating a burger is not a righteous judgment so according to you it is a sin. You claim that other kinds of people, who you believe are sinning, can change. Why can't you turn from your evil judgmental ways?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, why is it you expect others to change but not you?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd be less likely to judge, but more likely to laugh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Anon, you picked the one piece of that you thought supported your point; that doesn't work for everyone. There are a myriad of reasons a person might be overweight, and for you to say that means you're either very ignorant, or pretending to be. Quit being deliberately dense, or if that's not possible, bother someone else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You have just as much power over your weight as you have over your hygiene. (if not completely as much then so close that it makes no difference). You just want your kind of "judging" to seem more innocent. If no one was judgemental towards fat people there'd be more fat people and thereby more people who are unhappy with their health and who might even die from it. Judging people is of course not a good thing by itself, but it's there for a reason.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I take it I stumped you?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I'm eating and I was kinda stalling until I'm done.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Shit, I break a sweat eating a burger.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When I first read this, I mentally said 'booger' and then realized it was a typo xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, dammit, it IS NOT!! Not everyone has any choice in how much they weigh!! Why the FUCK does everyone keep ignoring that?!? There are multiple conditions and circumstances that may cause a person to be overweight COMPLETELY BEYOND THEIR CONTROL. There is only one condition that keeps you from taking a goddamn shower, being allergic to water, and that's one of the most rare and unlikely things to happen to someone, AND they have alternate methods of washing, anyway. People who have medical conditions, people who are movement-restricted for various reasons... those people exist, and in larger numbers than you think. My best friend's mom is an awesome lady, but my friend's been getting made fun of her whole life(even though she's skinny as hell) because her mom is really, really overweight, and there's nothing at all she can do about it. I am tired of seeing the pain in both of their eyes over mean, superficial, immature people like you who boost your own self-esteem through ri...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... ridiculing others. "Oh, it's unhealthy; we're just worried about their health that's all, if we didn't humiliate them they'd just get sick and die"; I hear this bullshit all the time, but tell me- do you treat smokers who meet your standards of physical attractiveness the same way? They're killing themselves too, just as surely. What about people who drink too much but are what you consider "hot"? There are many health problems associated with problem drinking as well. These people, by your definition, are deserving of the same venom you spew at the overweight... but I bet you don't. Because it's not really about health, after all's said and done; it's just about being shallow and hypocritical. Spare me your ignorantly self-serving arguments; they don't work here, because I actually know what I'm talking about.
