When the airplane lands, you and all the other passengers applaud, amirite?

wow, im surprise. everytime i've been on a commercial airplane, we applaud the captian as soon as he lands the plane. and this was pre-911 too.

I've never had this happen but it sounds pretty awesome.. I should start and maybe everyone'll join in!

Or they'll be like, "o.O What the heck, why is that dude clapping?"
On a completely un-related note, your YouTube videos make me laugh.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Really? That makes me happy. :D

Uhg, I never do. Everyone else does and I'm like STOP BEING SO PARANOID ABOUT TERRORISTS FFUUUU
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've never been on a plane but my parents were on a plane that landed so smooth everyone applauded. As far as people's fear of terrorists and plane crashes go... you have a greater chance of being struck by lightening. People these days seem to let the news media get the best of them.

only when there is bad weather or a long wait etc...

going to and from puerto rico everyone on the plane applauded but on the other connecting flights no one did..

this happened to me once. it was after our flight got delayed for 3 hours and then there was TERRIBLE turbulence the whole ride, and the lights on the plane went out and the tv screens stopped working. I was scared shitless, which I guess was convenient because the bathrooms wouldn't work either. so yeah, we applauded the captain.

this has never happened to me, i wish it did, it sounds funny

I don't clap but EVERYONE ON THE PLANES CLAPS!! WWHHYYYY?! Its the pilot's job to land the plane. That is what s/he needs to do. Why should you applaud?!
by Anonymous13 years ago
I recently flew from Paris to Norway, and there was a storm and bad turbulence, when the pilot landed everyone started applauding her, it was really weird because I've never seen that happen before.

I flew from vancouver to calgary and calgary to toronto, and after landing in calgary everyone clapped...then we landed in toronto and I clapped but no one else did.

When the airplane lands you leave last because you don't want any of the other passengers to see that you crapped yourself during the rough landing.

this is so odd ...i just automaticly 'no wayd ' this post because i've flown very often and this has never happened ....and then I just happened to ask my friend if it's happened to her and she said that yeah many times when she's flown within the united states ppl have clapped after the plane landed.... !! hahahahahah!! oh my god ...I wish this would happen on one of my flights!!
