I was thinking that the admins/mods could go through previous POTDs and pick the nominees that everyone can vote on.Maybe there could be a brackets type of thing where it starts off with 32 nominees and each day for a week, the members will vote. The top 16 will advance, then the top 8, etc. until it's down to the last one. I think it would be best you couldnt see how many votes they're getting, because some people might end up just going with the leading ones.
