yep. driving home from my grandparents house on the interstate, I was behind this car with bikes on the back. and the whole trip we were always driving close to each other. we'd lose each other for a while, then I would see them flying past me and I'd be like, "oh, car with bikes! how silly you are." I felt connected to the car by the end of the trip. Now every time I see a car with bikes hooked on the back, I just sort of smile. ;)
