Not really. we had to buy the laptop from the school and we got them because my school is based on self-directed learning so we use the internet a lot during school hours.
Oh gotcha, we didn't have to buy ours. For us, I think it was one of those cases where they still had a bunch of money left and if they didn't spend it they had to give it back.
I do in in class. I'm at least a day ahead of everyone else on the project we're doing, so when the teach isn't watching from the back of the room, it's onto amirite! ^^

I get most of my amirite reading done in my computer class. I missed three day's and was still ahead of people though so I'm fine.
At our school we all have our own laptops which means everyone does that pretty much all day. :)
