a full 160gb ipod would be 16384mb.
average song is 3mb.
163840 divided by 3 is 54613.3333
average song is about 1 dollar, maybe some are more but with the 1 cent less on the average song we can round it to $54613
which I can say is a fuckton of money
The only songs I have that weren't acquired legally are songs that just CAN'T be found in any legal way. The rest are on CDs or were bought on iTunes. And I'm not broke yet :)
But the majority of my stuff is just from friends' CDs since I don't have the money to go out and actually buy the CDs...
Technically, that's still illegal. You're only supposed to share music with members of your household. "Technically" and "supposed to" key words...
I actually have 500$ in songs and I'm not particularly rich.
Same! The only time I don't download legally is if the song is live and has absolutely no legally recorded version.
I buy CDs because I'm stuck in the 90's/early 2000's
I never download Illegally.
Yay for doing things the legal way!
I'm confused on how to vote...I do buy my music legally, and I am broke XD
Well, I don't know if I would be broke, but I would be $1000+ poorer
Real musicians dgaf how the music gets around, as long as it gets around
And you wonder everyday, "How can I help the economy?".
well i pay for all my music and my family is quite the opposite of broke.
I just listen to all my music on Grooveshark. No downloading and or buying involved.

If I payed for all my music, then I would have spent more on music than I did on my car
