by Anonymous 13 years ago

I cried in the middle of class and almost bafted

by Anonymous 13 years ago

saddest book i've ever read.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yeah, child abuse is hilarious >.>

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Indeed it is.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Am I the only one who has never read or even heard of this book?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Probably.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is it a book generally read for school?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think so. We don't read it in my school, but I think most other schools do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I guess a lot of schools must, because a lot of people on here seem to know about it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've heard of it but I've never read it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ive never heard or read it either, you are not alone

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I haven't either, but that might be because they read it a lot in American schools and I'm an Aussie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you honestly can laugh during that book, you have no soul.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I laugh throughout the entire book, its disappointing the mom didn't win.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I couldn't sleep well for weeks after I read it, and I didn't even finish it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow you must be really messed up. There is nothing funny whatsoever in that book.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I plan on using bits and pieces of the book in my stand-up comedian career. Everybody knows that child abuse is funny.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That scene where his dad catches him shitting everywhere and is like no made me laugh forever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've read that, but not for school. Anyway, how could you say that? I cried so much I was dehydrated the next day. I was reading it at the mall (big mistake!) and I was waiting for my mom to finish shopping (that took a while). So, there I was crying my eyes out at the bit were his mom makes him drink some chemicals or something and the waiter asked me if I'm lost, I replied that I was reading a book. He saw the book cover and gave me a free chocolate cookie. That cheered me up for like, 3 seconds, until I continued reading it.

I really, highly doubt it's a required read for schools. It's a little too graphic. I read it and I have to agree with everyone else, so fucking depressing.
