+394 At least once you've wondered why there isn't an E in the grading scale, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

E for effort!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

we have E's in australia, it means you failed

by Anonymous 13 years ago

really? lucky....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We have E's in the elementary not our middle school and high school though

by Anonymous 13 years ago

E for exceptional? that's what we had in elementary school.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i have Es and no Fs

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do in England. Anything under a C is a fail. I think...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In Ireland 26-39 is an E and anything under is an F , either way you fail.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Anything above U is a pass but C and above is a good pass

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's because you can't cheat. I forgot how you would cheat, but I think it has something to do with adding an extra line to F. In Denmark, the system is with numbers, and the third lowest is 02. The highest is 12, and they put the 0 before 2, because if you don't, people would just change it to the highest score.

For our final exams in england E or above is a pass. Not a good pass, but a pass. And we have U instead of F

by Anonymous 12 years ago

For U Fail?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yep it stands for ungradeable

I live in America (Virginia), and we use E's instead of F's. I've always wondered why.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Same here. Well, I live in Maryland.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And in Michigan too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The "F" was originally an "E" but someone fucked up and wrote it wrong.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My school district has A, B, C, D, and E. We're weird like that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They use E's instead of F's in Dance Dance Revolution...

Now, if I'm ever on Jeopardy and they ask me what the grading scale of every country on the planet is, all I have to do is remember all the comments on this post!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I have E's as a grade in my school and i'm in highschool.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm surprised that no one mentioned exceeds expectations.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

because they only use that shit in like, grade 4 and under you would have to be a dumbass to think that you got an E and you actually exeeded expectations when you didnt hand in any homework

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was talking about Harry Potter....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We have E's. They mean you fail and get a 0 for gpa, but you can do summer school.
