+460 It is slightly annoying when shows intended for kids say things like "sexy." amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its more than slightly annoying. It's offensive and inappropriate for children...they 'grow up' (yet maintain a very immature mind) too fast nowadays and it's not a good thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Nowadays"? Johnny Bravo said it every episode and no one cared

i swear he was the first quagmire. if im not mistaken, the one with farah faucet jonny tells sally to call him in 15 years when shes a coed

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, just because the show says these words doesn't mean it should be at fault. In fact, the annoying thing is the parents that complain about this and still let their children watch it, and the parents that don't even care and let their children go around repeating everything they hear.

Like iCarly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly! iCarly is so sexual they talk about boobs, underwear, bras, say sexy, and in several episodes hinted about sex.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That show is for preteens and (oddly) teens. It's not for young children.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

they still watch it, my nephew is 7 and guess what comes on right after Spongebob?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's like complaining that south park comes on after the simpsons, and you don't want your twelve year old to watch it. If it's not made for their demographic anyway, exercise some control. Don't allow them to watch the show if you don't want them to be exposed to it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't recall them ever hinting at sex, but that could just be my Alzheimer's-esque forgetfulness talking.

in the bigfoot episode Carly saw two squirrels and said "Freddy look those two squirrels are wrestling!" Freddy said "they're not wrestling" and Carly replied "ohhh" with a grossed out look on her face. in that same episode after looking up sightings of a 'Beavecoon' Spencer read "two students reported seeing a female beaver and a male raccoon 'socializing' by a stream." I'm too lazy to type the last one so here http://www.amirite.net/566218

It's not intended for kids, but kids do watch it. It's more intended for people around my age, and I actually do watch it, so... :B

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Cow and Chicken.. Those puppets said it in a jeans commercial. I laughed so hard :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Since "sexy" is such a terrible word.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, and when an 11 year old uploads a picture of herself, and the first comment is like "SEX!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fairly oddparents even said sexy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's what this reminded me of. My sister flipped out about it and made my mom ban the show at my house. I still watched it though. cool

by Anonymous 12 years ago

you rebel :P

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, I know. All my favorite shows I wasn't supposed to watch. /: powerpuff girls, Johnny bravo, chalkzone, catdog, and others that I scarcely remember the name of.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wasn't allowed to watch any cartoon network show, I was a little pussy so I didn't wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I have vivid memories of when I was only allowed to watch cartoon network on Saturday, as that was when scooby doo was on. :B

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i remember when The Fairly Oddparents said sexy and I thought it was so scandalous.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They did? o_o.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yep, there was that buff Spanish-looking godparent who belonged to the rich kid, and he would always talk about how sexy he was. I cant remember his name, though.
