OH COME ON YOU GUYS! Witch and wizard names are better if theyre “odd” like Regulus, Minerva, Elphias, Astoria etc… I lovee the name Albus Severus! But having Lily AND James is a bit too much…at least one of them should be Ginny’s ancestors And about Rose and Hugo they’re named that way so they have the same first letters as their parents’ names Ronald and Hermione…There aren’t too many good names that start with “H” and ALSO Hugo means INTELLIGENT…so he probably takes after his mother :]

I thought of the name Herman too lol..i guess its too close to Hermione...besides Hugo means "intelligent" and we are all underestimating Rowling...she does a LOT of research when it comes to names...there are some pretty complex etymologies for almost for every name she uses.

I read something (can't remember where) where it was proposed that Hugo was named after Victor Hugo, a famous muggle writer. And I can bet that Ron would have killed Hermione if they had named their child Victor. Probably not what J.K. Rowling was thinking, but it makes sense all the same.

Albus Severus Potter just doesn't flow off the tongue very well. Lily Luna Potter? That's such a pretty name, and James Sirius Potter is a really manly name. Speaking of Luna, didn't her kids have weird ass names as well? I bet Albus grows up to be a big nerd that nobody liked. Like Neville, only he won't become cool after a while.
