Why is it spelled Grimm? (Stupid question, I know)

The Grimm brothers collected a whole bunch of german folk tales and made a book (The Brothers Grimm)

They also wrote the some of the original disney stories like Cinderella and Snow White. Disney used the stories but make them 'cleaner' for kids, becuase the Grimm Brother's were far too disturbing (for lack of a better word)
