+470 You call it a handicapped bathroom stall, but I see it as a luxurious relaxation and lounge stall, complete with handles so it takes less work to get up from the toilet. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know, is that how you see it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, that is precisely how I see it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then why do you feel the need for validation?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What are you talking about "validation"? Amirite may be for validation, but it's taken to a higher level, to the point where we can just express thoughts and opinions. Besides, I'd like to see whether or not other people think the same thing. Tell me why you do not.

Then your post would be better worded as "Some call it a handicapped bathroom stall, but you see it as a luxurious relaxation and lounge stall, complete with handles so it takes less work to get up from the toilet. amirite?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"I" refers to either myself or the reader in this situation. I still do not understand why you disagree with it, though.

"I think this, am I right about that?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My original intention was to comment on the irony of the superior leg-space handicapped stalls offer. However, the comment board strongly reeked of douche. So... The original post juxtaposes two different interpretations of a single phenomenon, then proceeds to ask whether you're willing to side with the latter (this, of course, being the poster's). The syntax, Sir, is perfectly sound.

Speaking as the resident handicapped person, do you have any idea how annoying it is to walk into a public restroom and see ONLY the handicapped stall taken?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why would you need the handicapped stall if you're WALKING in the restroom?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because I have a service dog and we can't both fit in a normal sized one. Other people might be able to walk but have trouble standing, or be blind and find it convenient to use a bar to get up. Ability to walk doesn't play into it.

Uh oh! They pulled the sympathy card!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously? Less work to get up from the toilet? It's not that hard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously? Can't understand a joke? It's not that hard.
