+18 if jesus had asked me to follow him to death, on a cross of my own, would i have obeyed? if jesus had questioned whether id walk with him on water, would i have been afraid? if jesus asked me to give up everything i loved, would i hand it all over? if i saw jesus hanging on that cross, would my own heart also be shattered? amirite?

my thoughts

Those sound more like questions you need to ask yourself

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(: i am asking myself, but i thought maybe someone out there would need to think about my questions too- christian or not.

Get a life you fucking loser. Only retards believe in god, You fuckhead

by Anonymous 14 years ago

You, sir, are a douche. The OP is very brave for voicing her thoughts like this and I agree with her.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

hahaha thanks, you made me smile (:

by Anonymous 14 years ago

i love it how you assume that i am a christian.

If Jesus asks you to use capitalization, would you go back to second grade?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

that was quite rude, but im sorry that my lack of capitalization appalled you.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Sorry. Looking back on it, that was really harsh. :)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

it's okay, i SHOULD have capitalized them. But, in my head, i told myself that if i didn't capitalize them, people would see the lack of respect and not be so "turned off" by my post. i don't know if that makes sense, but thats what went through my mind.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I get it. :)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

i am just sick of people saying they are christians when they cant answer those questions.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

1. Yeah, if you're stupid. 2. No, because if it doesn't work, you could just swim. 3. What if you loved Jesus? 4. No. That is all.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

im sorry if i offended anyone with this post. these questions are just what christianity is really about, in my opinion. i think that these questions are something that everyone should think about, even if you're not a christian. to a christian, these questions are especially important. if you say you are a christian, but you cant say yes to these questions, are you really a true christian? i am not stupid. i am not a "fuckhead". i was just posting my thoughts, im sorry if they offended you, it was unintentional.

You have no need to justify your beliefs. I think it is cool you posted this, if it is really what you believe in. I myself am tied between what I believe in, but I think it is really awesome that you know what you think and you stand by it. Don't ever let anyone tell you what you think is dumb, and don't listen to the people who called you names, they are just trying to make themselves seem cooler than they are. You are an awesome person I'm sure, they aren't. Stick to what you believe and don't worry what anyone else thinks. I wish i could have the beleifs like you do, but I don't yet and I hope someday I will.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

thanks for believing in me :) you are the first person to actually comment something worth reading, thanks SO SO much. as for my beliefs, i love them. before i started having a relationship with Jesus, i was completely dark inside. i bet that sounds really "emo", but it is the complete truth. i can't imagine my life without Jesus anymore, and i really don't want to go back to that. i know that you might not understand this, but i really hope it helps you a little bit. ill pray for you, and that you will figure out what you need in your life. -melanie

Christian or not, these are all questions as HUMAN BEINGS we should ask ourselves. Are we people that can let go of self desires, in order to follow a greater destiny in which we could be part of? In its most basic form, the story of Jesus was about oppression from the ruling powers at the time. We can all relate to that. Some things never change. Look past all the religious fluff of the story and take something from it.

good point (:

by Anonymous 14 years ago

De Ja Vu. Reading all these 15 comments was dejavu. And no I have never read these before. I don't think.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I don't understand.... maybe you just needed to read them? i don't know :/

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I think this is really interesting that you posted this and I respect it %100. However, I am not Christian and I'm not sure I like how the comments say that people should ask themselves these questions, Christian, or not. These are very Christian questions, and I am not able to ask myself them. I just don't want to be pressured into conversion because I hate when people do that. But this is a legitimate post and I respect that.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

This post is so absolutely stupid. Way to assume we're all Christians.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(Erin Sykes): i wasn't assuming anything, and if you read any of the comments at all, you would know that i didn't even say my OWN opinions for a long time. maybe you should reread the comments.

No, not if anyone asked me: Muhammad, Moses or Buddha. They don't sound like very nice people if they do. Depends whether i have nice clothes on, but it does sound fun NO! no way. He lived 2000 years ago. We are all going to die someday and we can get all emo about it or we can get on with life All of this coming from the perspective that Jesus was extremely wise and a gifted orator but not much more than that

by Anonymous 14 years ago

like i said, these are just my thoughts. and, i didn't assume that you were a christian. i totally respect if you are Buddist or Islamic, i just think these questions are important.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I think that these questions are worth thinking about. They go really deep if you think about them. As a christian i love that you spoke your mind about God, Christian or non.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

haha that is my job, afterall. i think that if you believe something, you shouldn't be quiet about it. but, at the same time, i don't want to be one of those annoying ppl coming to the door nagging you all the time. there are better ways to get people to think about things, and im hoping that my questions helped at least somebody. (: -melanie
