+326 You're pro-choice. But you want people to choose life, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If people want to get an abortion, fine. I'd rather them keep the child, but it's not my decision.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you successfully just repeated what the post said. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks ;D I added "but it's not my choice" to mix it up a bit. You like?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

anyone else read this and think maybe they're the same person?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Suspicious jaybrene is suspicious

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My thoughts on it: If people don’t have an option, they’ll take matters into their own hands. That could be a lot worse.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

glad someone else thinks logically too

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im not pro choice but im all for saving lives :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I go to a Catholic school and this is my exact opinion, but it is looked down upon by many people. If people feel there is no other way out then fine, but I would prefer them to choose life (like the post says).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I'm just pro-life. And there's nothing wrong with that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no i am pro life. i see absolutely so reason to kill a baby!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you would force a woman who was raped, or who cannot provide healthy conditions for a child, or who would be put in danger by the pregnancy, to follow through with the birth?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if she is put in danger by the birth then i guess abortion is ok. but as for the other things there is always adoption.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, you do see situation where abortion is acceptable. And, so you would force a 14 year old rape victim to follow through with the birth?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if she is physically capable of giving birth then yes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

my sisters 14 and if she were raped i would make sure she gave birth to that baby. i wouldn't make her keep it but i would make sure that baby was brought into the world. hell if i were raped i bring that baby into the world. (i'm 15)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand the logic of bringing a living memory of a traumatizing and crippling experience that will haunt your mind forever into the world.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well think about it what if you had been a child of rape would you have wanted your mother to end your life before you got a say in it just because it might be a little emotionally scaring for her? wounds heal physical and mental.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You drastically underestimate the effects of post-traumatic stress.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no i don't i know a girl who was raped by her father. i helped her through it and she probably one of the happiest girls i know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then she's obviously not part of the 1/3 of rape victims that go through PTSD.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you know how often a raped victim actually gets pregnant? Rape or not, the chances are not too high anyway. Adding in the emotional state the girl is in, her body isn't likely to be able to carry the baby, and if it is, there's the high chance of a miscarriage because of the emotional state again. Studies show it. So really, using rape as an argument isn't a very strong one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The poster said that under no circumstances is abortion acceptable. I used rape victims as a viable reason why abortion is acceptable in certain cases. I was not imply that pregnant rape victims are widespread or anything of the sort.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pro-Choice, no doubt about it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Completely random question, during the zombie apocalypse, will aborted babies join them?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think...yes..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well then, let's weaken the zombie forces by killing them before they master their mechanical skills... chill, I'm joking

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahaha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm pro-choice; I'd let the baby choose.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think people should really stop caring what the hell other people do. What does it matter to you if other people have an abortion or not? Worry about yourself and not what others are doing with their lives. Plus, the earth is overpopulated anyway. Thinking about it in the long-run, abortion is good in a way to keep the birth rates at an equal ratio to the death rates. But, that's just my opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It matters to me. My grandmother was pregnant with my mother, but wanted to get an abortion without telling my grandfather, but my grandfather found out, and ripped up the warrant. If my grandmother went through with the abortion, neither my mother, nor I, nor my siblings would have ever been born.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...But you wouldn't really have cared, because you'd never have existed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

True, but that's just a personal story. How abortion could have affected my existence. I'm just happy my grandma couldn't go through with it. I don't think people should get abortions unless it would endanger their own lives to give birth, not because it would be inconvenient for them to have a child. There are plenty of people who would love to give your child a good home if you couldnt.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm neither. I'm a guy, so I can't get pregnant. If I were to have sex and get the girl pregnant, I wouldn't tell her to do anything, but support whatever choice she makes. I personally feel that guys who are actively for or against it should fuck off.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol no way. Kill them all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm confused, is the post saying "you're pro-life in a passive way" or "you're pro-choice with leanings toward being pro-life"? I'm pro-life, but I'm not going to judge other people on their abortions, because they usually have a lot of emotion and drama behind the decision to have one. The only people I'll judge on it are the "perfect" rich families with huge houses and two kids and just "decide" they don't want any more kids.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I guess I'm more pro choice with leanings toward being pro-life. Abortion can be necessary in some cases, like if it endangers the mother's life to give birth. But if it's just inconvenient for you to have a child, I don't think you should have an abortion.
