Teachers should get payed more or at least receive a bit more credit for what they do, after all if it weren't for them we would have no education, and nobody to train us for our future career, amirite?

Where I live the teachers are way overpaid and all that money comes from the tax payers pockets. So no thanks...

There are concepts such as un-learning and experienced based education which focus on non-traditional classrooms and teaching methods, both of these do not call for a teacher.

This would be a decent idea if it weren't for two things. Number one, not all teachers are good, and they make it virtually impossible to get rid of the bad ones because once they've been there a certain amount of time, they have to keep them. So you'd be paying a shit teacher way more than they deserve to do absolutely nothing. Number two, I don't know where you're from, but at least where I live (California) we don't have the money to fund school activities, sports, and other things without our teachers giving up money by taking non-paid days off. We can barely afford what we have now. So in reality, that just wouldn't work.
