-148 wearing pj's and/or sweats out of your home is ridiculous, please take some time out of your day to put on clothes that actually make you look like a presentable person instead of someone who has given up on life, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The pjs I totally agree with but it can depend on the sweats. Some looks absolutely terrible but somE actually can look good

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hi there. I'm a girl. I have good hygiene and I always make sure my breath smells okay and my hair is washed and brushed before I go out in public. I don't always change out of sweats or my pjs because those happen to be comfy. I don't care that random strangers might think that my comfy pants are too "ridiculous" for the grocery store in the late evening.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

putting on a pair of jeans won't kill you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Neither will wearing a pair of comfy pajama pants. Are they personally offending you? No. Are they affecting you in any way at all? No. So why would you care?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this website is for opinions and I posted my opinion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And we are kindly telling you why your opinion is a piece of shit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with _hannah, you should respect people. Also, you can't argue against an opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, that's a pretty lame excuse. It kinda justifies anything horribly on here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a lazy, lazy man, OP. I put in the effort to practises perfect hygiene, but I don't care enough to dress "properly". I'll even wear crocs in public. IDGAF.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I kind of disagree, yet agree with this post. I have no problem with people wearing nicer looking sweats, but pajamas in public? No. Especially when said pajamas look like you dug them out from your trash.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well...... PJ's I agree. Sweats, somewhat. If you cut the collar on a sweatshirt so it hangs off the shoulder then it's fine. If you wear sweatpants for say, finals, than it's fine. As long as you're not wearing the full pajama set/sweat set then I don't really have a problem with it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why do random people care how I dress. If I want to dress like a bum or a slob or whatever they should mind their own business.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um, yeah, so, I completely agree with this post. Personally, I try to look my best whenever I go out of the house. I guess it's because I actually do care what random strangers think of me. Anyway, it's not like it's hard to swap those sweats out for a pair of jeans. And also I feel more confident when I'm actually dressed. I could go on for a while about why I try to be stylin' every chance I get, but this would be a very very very long comment haha. I guess I'll end this here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha right from the beginning I read your comment in my head and it sounded like something a spoiled brat would say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now that I'm re-reading it, I really do sound like a brat... Oh well!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe just cuz I told. Otherwise you probably wouldn't have noticed, my bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol whatever, it's my opinion and I stand by it. No matter how bratty it sounds >:)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Opinion respected.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin with no makeup on, that's when you're the prettiest, I hope that you don't take it wrong

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I completely agree with this post. Take some pride in yourself because if you leave the house in pajamas/sweats you are ridiculous. I almost never leave my house without getting dressed cute and at least pulling my hair in a neat ponytail. It only takes 10 more minutes to look good. You never know who you'll see. A potential boss, boy/girlfriend or an old friend etc. You will ever be taken serious if you dress like a lazy slob. Its not even about what others think, when you look presentable you are more confident and feel better. Whenever I see people out in pajamas I am absolutely baffled. And you really should only wear sweats in public if you're only to the gym. P.S. Cut the shit with ohh I look prettiest in sweats no makeup and hair like I just woke up. Actually you would look a lot better with a pair of jeans, a cute blouse and brushed hair. Maybe some light foundation and lipgloss too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, I'm pretty positive I feel just as confident in sweats as I do in jeans. YOU need to cut the shit that you have to look good 24-7. Some people don't have time for that. And if a potential boyfriend/girlfriend judges you based on the fact you're wearing sweats, they sound like a shitty person, and not worth dating. You are the epitome of judging a book by its cover. And I laugh. LOL.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

First of all, I prefer pajama pants to jeans. Why? Because they feel comfy, they oddly enough make my tiny ass look bigger (no clue how or why, I guess because it's not right there), and they are comfy. Second, any guy or girl that judges me because I chose to be comfy when I'm buying food so I can live will be rejected. They should care about me, not the way I look. Also, I'm not going to the store to pick up guys, I'm going to buy what I need. Third, an old friend would understand because they know me. I am not a slave to fashion. Also, chances are a potential boss isn't going to remember me when I go apply for the job, because they probably don't give a shit that someone isn't wearing jeans. If I saw someone in sweats of pj pants, I wouldn't bat an eye. Fourth, this is a lie. My butt looks completely flat in jeans that aren't skinny jeans, and in skinny jeans, my legs look like twigs. Sweats actually fit me much better because they aren't gripping my body...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...but of course I'll still wear jeans when I'm trying to look nice and disregard my crappy legs. Also, my boobs look bigger and I look skinner in t-shirts, and aren't boobs supposed to matter? And wearing sweats doesn't mean that your hair isn't brushed. Another thing, when I wear foundation, my skin turns flaky and my acne acts up, and then I have to wear more makeup to cover it up, and I get more acne... You see the cycle. It's annoying. So please, just shut up and stop being judgmental.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some sweats are okay, but I think PJs are a little ridiculous. People will judge whether you like it or not, and being accepted by society is important even if you won't admit it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Shoot, if I just rolled outta bed and my mom sends me somewhere, all I'm gonna do before I leave is brush my teeth and my hair. Of course, I sleep in basketball shorts and a T-shirt so its not too big of a deal. Another thing, if I've been working outside when its wet and muddy, I'm coming out of my jeans as soon as I'm done because I don't like the bottom of my pants to be wet. Sometimes my mom decides I need to run to get a gallon of milk or something and I'm already in sweats or PJ's so I just go. Now, most school days or if I'm actually going out, I will actually get prettied up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well it depends on what you're doing and where you are. If you are in a car for five hours or going in a plane or something you can just dress however you like but at school you should wear real clothes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Honestly, unless you are going out in what you slept in *which is pretty gross* it takes the same amount of time to put sweats on as it does real pants, so cut the "I just woke up and rolled out of bed" crap. I know people who will spend more time achieving the perfect "rolled out of bed look" than it takes me to get dressed and look somewhat professional before leaving to go somewhere. Most people aren't saving any time by wearing sweats, they just think they're being cool and different when in reality they are being lazy and slovenly. Just my opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I understand not wearing pj's,buts what so bad about sweats?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, I think Roots sweat pants look really nice, a lot of girls my age (18)ish wear them for their style... Plus, they're comfy. I can see why it's not a good idea to wear pajamas out in public, but dressing your best just to pick up milk or something from the grocery store is just ridiculous and time consuming.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why do people on this keep referring to pants that aren't sweats (e.g. jeans) 'real' pants? Sweat pants are still pants, whether you find wearing them in public to be appropriate or not. Pj pants are a little skimpy though, I can understand why people don't think they should be worn in public. But when it comes down to it, sometimes it's about looking nice, sometimes it's about being comfortable. Yes it's nice to get both in an outfit, but as long as you can differentiate between when you should dress way up and when you can dress way down, all is fine and well. (:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...PJ pants are skimpy? I guess I'm just weird for only owning pajama pants, but even my friends' pajama shorts aren't skimpy at all...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I said they are a little skimpy, as in the material used to make pj pants is general very thin and light and loose; perfect for sleeping in, but not very reasonable for regular daily attire. I'm sure there are some nice, good quality pj's out there, but I'm just sayin'.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pajamas look ridiculous in public, I agree on that. But don't tell an angry chick on her period that she's got to get dressed up to go to the gas station for a tampon run.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In my opinion, if it's too much effort to put on a pair of jeans and atleast make your hair look a tad bit presentable, then it's too much effort to be leaving your house.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If i'm going out to a fancy dinner and i'm wearing sweats, then you have the right to come up to me and tell me i'm a slob. If it's the middle of the afternoon and i need some milk from the store, i am not going to put on a fancy shirt or whatever if i'm gonna be out for half an hour. its a waste of clothes. and some people look cute in sweatpants, so :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was going to write some long comment on this, but then I decided not to because this post is just so stupid.
