The dining room of a fast food restaurant should be open as late as the drive-thru is, amirite?

Having worked at a lot of fast food places, the dining room has to be given a clean - a complete and utter clean, usually involving flooding the entire dining area (if it has tile floors), scrubbing with brush-broom, flooding again, then draining. And this huge clean has to happen at some point, and the risk of having customers there at the time would be a legal liability.
So, yeah, understand it would be pretty sweet when you're with your mates at 3 AM and you all feel like a feed, and none of you have a car.

Maybe restaurants with 24-hour drive-thrus woud be an exception. But those with drive-thrus that close at some point...after this close would be an ideal time to clean.

Yeah, true.
Although most close things are because of things like time, and how long it takes to clean certain areas, or certain machines. And how many customers are likely to come in and spend money VS the wages of the people you'd have to pay to keep the store open.

It would be eerie to eat inside Burger King at 3 AM.

plus it would be more likely for them to be robbed at 2 am
