It's really tough to decide... they are both chill as hell
by Anonymous13 years ago
Go away. No one says chill. It is a bro term, and bros, as we all know, are douchebags.
If I am off-base with this, please correct me.
If you are a bro, please leave this website and never return.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Box, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now, but I AM your BRO! Because I totally kickass inside the boxing ring and stuff?

Daft Punk is Playing at My House
Anyone heard the remix Daft Punk did on Kanye's song? "Bigger, better, harder, sexy time with Kickass?" or something along those lines
by Anonymous13 years ago
Punk's song (Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger) came first. Kanye ripped it off with Stronger.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Are you serious? I didn't even know that. MIND TRIP. That's pretty wild, I heard the Kanye West version first! TO THINK THIS WHOLE TIME, MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIEEE. FUCK.... Thank you for enlightening me good sir!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Is that sarcasm I smell?...with a side of bitch?
by Anonymous13 years ago
No I'm serious, that literally sent me on a mind trip. This whole time I've been thinking, "Wow Daft Punk should do more covers!"
Why? Did I say something offensive?
One more thing, you kind of look good!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Pro tip: use Google before looking like an idiot.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How do I look like an idiot? I made a mistake... oh big woop, I'm human. I'm not perfect buddy and neither are you ;]
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahaha I thought you were being sarcastic and rude. And thank you. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
No not at all, I'm a big fan of Daft Punk and you're welcome! You have some pretty funny posts, original?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Originality is my middle name. :)
I actually don't have a middle name but if I did it would be originality.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ha that's awesome, neither do I, I'm living in America and people are like, "YOU DON'T HAVE A MIDDLE NAME?!? DO YOU HAVE A BELLY BUTTON?!?"
by Anonymous13 years ago
LOL, I actually did laughed out loud! I live in the US too and everyone has the middle name "Anne" or "Grace" or something. My kids middle name will be Bubba or Toilet or something.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wow, I'm glad I'm not your kid! I mean I wouldn't mind spending 9 months inside you, but.... I would rather have no middle name than have people call me Toilet....
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm kidding of course. That'd be awfully terrible to do to my own kid. I know a guy named Spoon. We always say "hey stop forking around!" and the poor guy gets so upset. But I want to give my son a bad ass name that he will be praised for.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha good! I was thinking that was as bad as the woman who named her twins Jacob and Edward.... Spoon is a pretty badass name... haha I like that.... But it's really hard to find badass names, because if you're kids are badasses, then you can just name them Bacon or something and they could rock it. But if they're not badass, then a hardcore middle name will only make them look like they're posing, naaa mean?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Jacob and Edward...that reminds me of this thing, you probably don't know it since it's on the DL and NOBODY is obsessed with it or anything. What's it called? ...oh yeah Twilight. Hating Twilight reminds me that I'm sane. <3 And I know what you mean, dawg. I don't want to raise a kid with the name "snake" or something and have them grow up to be a mini Justin Bieber. But you know what I plan on doing? Of course you don't...I haven't told you yet! Hahaha but I want me and my husband to speak around my kid in a British accent so that he/she grows up with an accent. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, I do not understand Twilight what so ever... I started watching it, because a couple of girls invited me to watch it with them, but it wasn't worth it!
I just opened another browser just so I can give you two thumbs up your idea! That is genius, unless you've a bad English accent, then your kid will grow up to have a terribly fake English accent. But if you have a good English accent that would be awesome!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Muahahaha thank you! I think I'm pretty good with accents because I'd always trick my substitute teachers by convincing them I was a foreign exchange student. They'd believe me and let me off easy on work. Not gonna lie, I felt pretty cool. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
You should! I'm terrible at fake accents, I mean English is my third language, so I still have an accent when speaking English, but not a cool one haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
Where are you from? What languages do you speak?
You type perfectly. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've been all over the world, but I've only lived in Italy, Ethiopia, Canada, and now U to the S to the A.
Yeah my grammar is only bad when I speak, because even though I know how I should say something, I have trouble pronouncing it and my accent doesn't help. I don't know if you understand what I mean, but when I'm saying something like, "Look at those posts", I might say "Look at those post" it's kind of weird, because I know it's incorrect but I can't speak fluently without making those kinds of simple errors.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know exactly what you mean, hahaha my dads a professor and is really smart but when he speaks some things aren't pronounced correctly. And wow Ethiopia! I'm from Sudan. :) I want to go back so badly, but the situation there isn't the greatest so my parents want to "wait it out" whatever that means. Ahhhh Italy. <3 How romantic. And Canada...LOL
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, that's the usual response I get with Canada... I really need to stop telling people that.
Italy never fails to get me some ladies...
And my Family is Ethiopian, so Sudan though that's pretty cool and that explains the hijab. How long have you lived there?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well I was born in Wisconsin, then we went back to Sudan for about 3 years because my mom was homesick, and then moved back to America (Chicago) and we've just laid low since then. I live in the suburbs so I'm the only Sudanese here but just about 30 minutes away is a huge community of East Africans so I still got my culture. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's really nice! I have family in DC and Maryland and the New England states and also in Florida and Georgia, so I go there during my breaks. There aren't that many Ethiopians where I live, but the pitch I go to, to play soccer is filled with Nigerians and other people from Central Africa! They're really good and extremely aggressive!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh my gosh you're so lucky that you at least have Africans! My school is one of the most diverse schools in the nation, and yet there are barely any Africans. When I was in junior high my counselor comes up to me in the halls and says "hey you know I was looking through the database and saw that there is another Sudanese. He's in 1st grade!" And I was so happy until I realized thats my brother, hahahaha.
PS, you're amirite picture made me laugh. :D
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha, there really were like two Ethiopians that went to my school. And even they moved away for college, I have no idea where these guys come from, they're much older than me and I usually don't see them unless I'm on the pitch.
That's funny though, it's like, "Hey introduce me to this guy"
Thanks
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahaha I know I wonder what she wanted me to do with the other Sudanese. "Make a *larger* Sudanese community ;)"
But here, if you run into another East African you HAVE to say something. And the conversations basically consist of "hey how are you? you doing good? hows your mom? dad? sister? brother? cousin?" And they never give you time to answer the question so I'm basically saying "good, good, oh great!" as much as I can.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, that's how I feel like most of my conversations go as well. They're always curious about my family and school... it's so formal I can't say I really know any of them that well.
One girl told me that I should hook up with the other Ethiopian girl, so we can have more Ethiopians around. It was pretty awkward.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Agreed! I'm pretty sure my name isn't Eve so I don't hold that responsibility.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ha, people are so weird sometimes.... I feel like knowing Americans and people from other countries, has really made me realize that people are extremely weird. It doesn't matter where they're from haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
OH MY GOD I KNOW! My best friend and I were in the train station today and just listening to the things coming out of peoples mouths..."do babys drink period blood...is that why girls dont get their period when they're pregnant?" I have almost zero faith in the generations to come.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's disgusing....
I really don't know what to say, yeah I feel like every generation seems to get worse and worse, I think it has to do with all the young kids having access to the internet. I mean they're probably learning a load of adult stuff, way before they should. But that's just my opinion
by Anonymous13 years ago
I definitely agree. And also a lot of young teens do all they do for attention. And I know that's always been the case but at least in the junior high I used to go to, all the girls are pretending to be bisexual because they saw all the attention the real bisexuals were getting. (I know they're faking because I'm friends with their older sisters---whom they have told). I'm all for gay marriage but I think it's rude if you're going to fake it...considering all the hard times real homo/bisexuals have gone through.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm not against gay marriage, but I don't support it either, what ever they want to do in private, they can. But bisexuals, I'm a little less fond of, but that's off topic. I do agree that people shouldn't fake being anything to get attention though. Although I blame that on the liberties we're getting. As we are becoming more and more free to do what we want, we move towards this kind of stuff (there are both good and bad things that come from it). I tend to be conservative and I'm not saying we should move back to the way things were, because I do enjoy watching half naked girls walking around campus, but if it was like the 60s or something, then people would get in trouble for this sort of behaviour. Do you know what I mean?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know exactly what you mean and I agree. I don't think the government should control that kind of stuff though, I think parents need to do a better job and teach their kids morals rather than letting them fry their brain with Disney Channel (which has actually gotten inappropriate for young viewers. A character said something along the lines of "I'm wearing new skinny jeans! I now give you boys permission to stare at my butt for 10 seconds" and the guys just stared and drooled... *5 year olds are watching this! wow*) If you are going to get yourself in a situation where you're pregnant/impregnate someone, stop being such dumbasses.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You're right it should be the parents job to monitor all that stuff.
But what you said about celebrities, it would be good if they were good role models, but they are human after all. I think people in general should stop giving them such important roles in their daily lives. I mean what they did last night at the club, really shouldn't be the highlight of our day. I really don't follow celebrity gossip, but sometimes if they make it on the news, I'll watch it (if they did something ridiculous enough to get them on the news). Other than that it's like if they make a good film, I'll watch it and if they don't I won't.
by Anonymous13 years ago
But the problem with these kids is that they rely on what these celebrities do so much because they are considered "cool" and set the standard. I wish it weren't the case but it is. So if they're going to go on Disney Channel and basically SIGN UP to be these kids role models, they better keep that in the back of their head. They wanna smoke or have sex? Fine but don't be dumb enough to allow video cameras capturing it all.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, you're right about that. It would take a cultural shift in order for us to stop looking up at celebrities and athletes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I heard the Kanye version first too, and then I started dating this guy who is the BIGGEST Daft Punk fan. When I mentioned I liked Stronger, he got mad and said it was originally a Punk song that Kanye pretty much stole. Yep.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well yeah, they sound exactly alike, I thought it was a cover haha. There's also another song with Busta Rhymes and other rappers where they use Technologic as their chorus. I forget what song though
by Anonymous13 years ago
Mhmm, excerpts of their songs are used in a lot of things. They've been around a really long time and are a really major house group, so it's not surprising.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Do you like Benny Benassi? Also I can't wait to watch TRON LEGACY, so excited! I heard the whole album was done by them
by Anonymous13 years ago
Never heard of him. Boyfriend's the Punk fan, 'member? He actually just convinced me to get one of their albums, haha. But I saw Tron the other day, and it was really well done, plot, music, everything.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm glad to hear. Well he produces house music, so I thought you might of heard of him. I like him, you should ask your boyfriend to have a listen to a song called "I Love my Sex" first song I heard by him and I fell in love! No homo?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Will do. :D
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oooh, I know this is late, but I heard a great Christmas techno remix the other day on youtube, but I can't find it anymore. If you guys know any, you should totes magotes send it my way!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Unfortunately I dunno anything like that. Sorry. D: But I did enjoy your usage of "totes magotes"
Also, Boyfriend says he's heard of Benny Benassi, and he finds his music extremely odd, haha.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Okay, thanks, and odd really? I love how he has like a hundred layers in his songs.... It's like being in a pool of sound, it's a vast swirling wonderland, it'll fill your ears with cascading fluffy pillows and excitement, and comfort as you have never felt before. ~Patrick Star...ish
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha, I dunno, I don't think he likes a lot of lyrics in his house, so that might be it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha okay
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't get why you'd think Daft Punk had covered Kanye and not the other way around... Daft Punk is older and hiphop has always sampled famous songs from other genres to make beats. What you thought would be extremely unlikely.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I just heard Kanye Wests version first and besides there are a lot of songs out there that get techno remixes and stuff... I just assumed that was what this was haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
Daft Punk is electronic not techno. The two genres have somewhat the same sound but such a thing as "electronic remixes" is far from common.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah you're right, haha. And actually Daft Punk might not do remixes, but other djs like Benny Benassi do some electronic remixes
by Anonymous13 years ago
LCD Soundsystem!
by Anonymous13 years ago
YES! I thought no one would get it!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Of course I would! i LOVE them!
by Anonymous13 years ago
One artist is the definition of awesome, the other is the definition of a tool
by Anonymous13 years ago
God speed you! Black emperor > kayne west.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Kanye west sings, produces, acts, raps, And released a song while his jaw was wired shut from an accident. Daft punk made classic techno for the last 30 years. Daft punk was sampled by kanye and made into a hit, thereby introducing daft punk to a new generation. Kanye west has more talent, popularity, and status. I vote kanye.
by Anonymous13 years ago
@Pakalolo (mobile can't reply) Dude you clearly were not around on the 90's when Daft Punk was huge. Kanye has no talent. And he has all that popularity because he's a huge attention whore, just look at what he did to that poor girl at the VMA's!
by Anonymous13 years ago
1) I'm a girl
2) Betcha I've been on this website a whoooole lot longer than you
