+127 Instant messengers or chat that automatically change your text emoticons [ :), :(, :'(, etc] into images [☺] can be frustrating. Sometimes the text looks better than an image, and sometimes if you do a more elaborate text emoticon (example: >:D) it turns the [:D] into an image, but not the [>] causing some confusion. amirite?
