+188 It's weird that so many 90's kids have never heard of Pogs, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Pretty sure it was only popular in the US, Canada, and surrounding islands. We didn't have them in Australia. We had something similar that came in chip packets, but they weren't called POGS.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We had them in England too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe Australia is just so disconnected to the rest of the world that we didn't have them. Lol. Or maybe I just don't know about them...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, we had pogs in Australia... I was born in 1988 so remember most of the 90s and pogs were defiantly a popular craze.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Were they the things that came in chip packets and you could attach a part to make the disk like a spin top?! I have no recollection.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Err... I think they're different. We had Tazos (exact same thing different name) in Chip packets that you could play the game with, but we could also buy POGs in like news agency's and game shops.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Tazos are exactly what i was thinking about. Still can't remember pogs though! Maybe I just wasn't cool enough.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im 12 and i know what they are!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm 14 and I *don't* know what they are... Anyone care to explain?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Omgsh that was the greatest game ever. My brother and our friends would play it all the time. I ended up having up to four hundred different pieces.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i had them. never knew how to play..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Never heard of them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ohh, i had those things. didn't know what they were, even then, but i had em.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't even really consider myself a 90s kid because I wasn't in school and stuff yet (born in 92) but I know what they are

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everybody voting down my post is probably my age or younger and desperately wants to be a 90s kid. Guess what, you're not. To be a 90s kid you have to be really interested in the music and clothes and fads and such of the 90s, if the new millennium hit when you were 8 (or younger) then you really weren't into the fads of the 90s. Being born in the 90s =/= being a 90s kid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have no idea what pogs are :O I'm a typical 90s kid. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh i know what those are, but i never had them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How weird. I got some of those for Christmas, and without me mentioning that my english class was talking about pogs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't know them as "Pogs" but I knew them as "Tazos" in spanish, haha :D Because well...I was born at Mexico, lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Man I loved pogs. Me and my brother had fuck loads. I remember kicking an older kid in the nuts after a game of pogs and him annoying me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I knew what they were after I saw a picture. I just didn't know what they were called :)
