It would be sweet if drinking water cancelled out calories, amirite?

Or you could just eat celery :P
by Anonymous14 years ago
I'm pretty sure that's just an urban myth.. :P
by Anonymous14 years ago
Nope, it's true, it's just not many. The same can be said of water as well, because calories are used to heat it up to body temperature.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Actually, it's a fact. Celery has negative calories, so even though it may not cancel out other calories you eat, you still burn calories digesting it.
by Anonymous14 years ago
apparently cold water does :P because it burns calories to make it warmer but I'm not sure
by Anonymous14 years ago
Very few, though.
by Anonymous14 years ago
While that is true, in my chemistry class last year we calculated how much cold water you would have to drink to burn 1 calorie and it was so much even drinking all day would burn barely anything.

: (
I was gonna drink everything cold from now on lol
by Anonymous14 years ago
it's still good for you in other ways it just doesn't burn as many calories as people think
by Anonymous14 years ago
Technically it does. Water has no calories but your body uses calories to process it.
by Anonymous14 years ago
There is nothing wrong with calories, calories are fuel for you body to function. Do you know how you burn them? By moving around and doing stuff.
by Anonymous14 years ago
of course I know you can burn them. I'm just saying, it would be nice cause you could eat as much of whatever you want, and just drink a ton of water and not worry about gaining weight.

Come one... EXCESS calories are bad. And the OP is saying that this would be great because of the above reason, and that you wouldn't HAVE to exercise.
