+506 Even though you were always told not to bring food and drinks from home into the movie theater, you've never had an employee check you for them. amirite?

Oh god can you imagine full body scans outside of airports?

I've had employees at the movie theatre notice that I'm sneaking stuff in and glare at me quietly, though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

they let you keep it? I tried to sneak in a bag of cheesey popcorn but it didn't completely fit in my purse so the guy saw and made throw it away

Most employees wouldn't care, as it's not affecting them. They aren't on commission, and it's not their food people would buy. So the nice ones let you slip it in if nobody else notices.

Yeah, as long as a strict manager isn't around, we don't care at all. I see people all the bringing other food in and I've never said anything. Plus if you make a scene, we're supposed to let you take it in so you are kept happy and therefore will come back to see movies in the future.

Hoho ho yeah. I didn't know bout that last part, but I'm gonna use that to my advantage

I guess the theaters I go to are run by bitches

My little cousin blatantly brought in a happy meal and soda, they didn't say a word

Once I saw a guy bring a whole pizza into a theater.

once I saw a guy try to take in a Wendy's bag full of food, they made him throw it all away

I work at a theatre and when I get to pre-screen movies (projectionist), I sometimes order pizza. Working at the movies has so many fucking awesome perks.

I once snuck an entire slurpee into a movie theatre

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I snuck a 2 liter of pepsi in one time :)

Holy shit, that's impressive lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I work at a movie theater. This one lady had a Starbucks cup and I said "I'm sorry, you're going to have to throw that away before going inside." and she said "I'm allergic to milk and this and that and blah blah, so this is literally the only thing I can drink." And I was like "MAN, that must get expensive. But we sell water, so you should probably still throw it away." and she said "I'm going to ask someone else. Like your MANAGER." So you're trying to get me in trouble for doing my job? Cool.

Lmao I've walked into a theater carrying a loaf of sourdough bread (don't judge it's my fav). The signs say no food brought in but I don't think they care.

The Dollar Theatre does. ]:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

recently they did. They wouldn't let me bring my drink in, so I sat down for a second then headed for the movie theater. Then another employee caught me, so he whispered "sit down for a bit to make it look like I'm doing my job. Make sure you hide it well."
