+344 Two of the worst variables to have to use are "s" and "t", because they get confused with 5's and +'s, amirite?

"O" and "l" are pretty bad too.

and x btw hows Chicago

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How would x get annoying? I understand if you're talking about the multiplication sign, but as soon as I started to learn algebra we were taught how not to use the multiplication sign to avoid confusion...

And you can just do the 'x' as the double semi circles facing away from each other. I was taught to do that for the variables.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was taught to either do that [to be honest I never bothered] or to write it like this ''2x(3x)=6x'' to give a very easy example.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hardly write x in algebra, I'm used to the semi circle thing. But yeah, to each their own.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I guess it doesn't make a difference, but my teacher's writing is so messy that you can't tell the difference between the semi-circle x and the regular x ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhh... 2x(3x)=6x^2

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're right ono I was trying to find the square root sign on my keyboard [which is extremely messed up] and I couldn't, so I figured I'd leave it out. It still got my point across about the brackets :P

^^^ creeper. I can't reply to comments so...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Z is also pretty bad. 2's...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Which is why a lot of people put lines through their z's in maths, like people do with 7's.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i always confuse b's and 6's because my handwriting is messy hahah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My worst is probably 'b', mine look a lot like sixes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In physics and calculus, you have to use 't' all the time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mmmmm fucking "t"s

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Z's are th worst because you get them confused with 2's.
