+218 A lot of people don't seem to understand that Jesus plays a large role in Islam as well, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or Moses also does too, or that Islam teaches respecting both Jews and Christians because they are "People of the Book"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...So that's why so many primarily Islamic countries hate the Jews?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Lol there was a Church in Florida that put a sign up that said "God Loves, Allah Hates". You believe in the exact same god silly people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yep, can't be a Muslim if you don't believe in Jesus.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It was a different Jesus, a Jesus that was much less moral and didn't believe in the same God. Christianity is the good religion and Muslimism is like the evil twin version.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wow that was very ignorant. Are you one of those who believes that all Muslims are terrorists? Because if not, you could've fooled me. Also, Islam, not Muslimism.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Obvious Troll. There is only one God so how could he not believe in that one? How is Christianity the good religion both religions have caused the same amount of damage and influence. Except Islam came after. I think it'd be better to say Islam is the Updated version of Christianity.

"Muslimism?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Isn't Jesus important in end times in Islam, too?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yep, he is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like, a more important role than any other prophet in end times?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, his role is definitely a major one in end times. He is said to be the one to defeat Anti-Christ.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You know what's also in both? Satan, but being involved in a religion and BEING a religion are 2 very different things. Just because both the US and China have people, does that make us the same country?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

op wasn't trying to show that Islam and Christianity are the same. op's simply pointing out that both religions have much in common but misunderstandings keep them from getting along.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That was my point: having things in common doesn't make 2 very different things the same. While they both 'incorporate' Jesus, only one has him as THE way to salvation, thus nullifying any similarity between the 2.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No no no. The point is not about the details of the belief in Jesus. Muslims believe in the same Jesus, but with a bit of a different story. I think OP is trying to say that since Christianity an Islam are more similar than people think, there shouldn't be so much intolerance between the two (and yes, that's on both sides, the Christians and the Muslims).

this would make an interesting POTD..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Jesus is very important in Islam. Muslims believe Jesus to be a prophet/messenger of God.
