You can be sure someone would find a way to fuck it up. Guaranteed there would be levels involving grinding Ariadne's totem into the perfect shape or fail, finding the parts to the sleep inducing machine around their building and a level entirely dedicated to keeping your balance in the hallway while checking every room for some arbitrary item, including ragdoll physics and 10 seconds before Arthur can pick himself back up if you trip.
