If I ever have a kid someday, I will teach them binary just to screw with the school system.

I dont think it would mess them up or anything, it would just alter their reality. Because really, reality is what you make it.

It would be hard - you would more or less have to keep them inside all day, and only ever let them listen to you plus anyone else who was in on it. I read a fictional account of someone who did this, and as soon as the kid started listening to television and radio, and hearing other people speak, she started speaking properly, despite the fact that her father had taught her all the words opposite (up is down, yes is no) all her life.

My mom did this to my aunt, but she taught her ALL her fractions backwards. She still can't get them right.

I know of someone who taught their younger sister (years and years ago) her left and right directions backwards. She still gets messed up. It's hard for her to get driving directions because she usually goes the opposite way, etc.
