+146 It's annoying when someone complains about someone giving spoilers to a film made from a book. There is already the massive 'plot spoiler' out there, and just because you can't be bothered to pick it up doesn't mean we can't talk about it, amirite?

I don't see how people get so attached to a show or movie that knowing the ending will ruin it for them. I could know the whole plot before I watch a movie and still think it's awesome.

Well, yes, but it's a different experience, so one would usually prefer to have both experiences, at least I do.

Was thinking of the hunger games when reading this aha everyone keeps freaking the fuck out over spoilers and im just like...there was a book first you know..

I often read the books before I see the movies (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight) and I still get upset if someone starts talking to me about the movies before I see them XD

Maybe someone was still reading the book and that spoiler ruined it for him. Not everyone read the book the same time you did; just because you finished it or just because it came out years ago, doesn't mean everyone should have read it by now. I'm not saying you shouldn't talk about it, but you don't have to go around spreading huge spoilers expecting everyone to have read them by now.

This post sounds kind of stuck up. I'm sure you didn't finish the book within the first hour it wad released, and you'd probably be upset if someone spoiled it for you before you finished it. A lot of people just want to see what the hype us about; there's nothing wrong with that. Even if they only plan on seeing the movie, that doesn't make them a terrible person. Spoiling it for them just makes you a prick.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound stuck up. It's just there are those people out there that will purposely go and seek information about the film, get onto a site about the books and then get annoyed when there aren't as many spoiler warnings as they would like. Or someone overhearing your conversation and telling you you can't talk about it. Basically this post is only talking about the assholes that get overly stressed about it.

Oh, I see. Spoilers suck, but some people do take it way too seriously and become even worse. It almost makes me want to spoil the book for them.
