+426 Thanks Teacher, it's not like I come to school for thirty five hours a week to actually do work there. Yeah, I like doing FIVE MORE HOURS at home on my weekend. What's that you say? Plans? No, I don't have any plans. I like to keep my weekends free, just so I can get all your homework done. Thanks again for making my life such a joy! amirite?

Last time I checked, I worked my butt off every day for my A's in AP

I guess that explains why you have 5 hours of homework every night. Sounds to me like it's the teacher's job to assign an hour or two of homework per night.

Just remember that they spend the same amount of time (if not more) grading papers.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They only do it so you don't grow up to be a failure and an idiot.

@1008898 (Anonymous): That doesn't make it fun

It's not supposed to be fun.

You signed up for your classes knowing what kind of homework you would get. Besides, five hours for the entire weekend is not bad. Last year, one class alone gave me AT LEAST 20 hours of homework on the weekend and about 30-35 during the week normally. Then we would also get projects and essays we would have to do on top of that. I knew what I was getting into and was not thrilled about it, but I didn't complain. It was MY fault - no one else's - and they shouldn't have to hear about it all the time.

Has anyone ever told you it's obnoxious to constantly one-up people? (And I mean that in the nicest possible way)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. Constantly? Not the word you were looking for. 2. It was an example. As in, suck it up. (I mean that in the nicest possible way)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. You're right about that, constantly was poor word choice. And I apologize for being rude. 2. This post was mostly a joke; if it really bothered me that much I wouldn't take hard classes! And I'm sorry that you have thirty hours of homework, that sounds pretty miserable.

No problem. I didn't mean to come off as pretentious. But it irritates me when people complain about school and homework, especially when I would kill to have their workload. That was last year, anyway. This year I decided to cut down a little, which ended up being more than I expected. Truthfully, I'm much happier with less homework, but the same difficulty of classes.

Well good for you! I just was frustrated because I'm not really used to it yet; it's my freshman year in high school.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, see I'm a junior. My school doesn't even allow us to take AP classes during freshman year, though I did take honors and CP. Finding the right balance between school and life is the key, I think.
