What's even worse is dating a person with a broken leg and walking with them because you have to be extra careful not to kick their crutches and you feel like such a jerk when you do.

This is going to sound more hateful than it is. There is this kid in my school, he has a physical disability, and has special crutches that he must use to walk. However, he is a complete dick. I might be too in his situation, but whatever. He will not let you pass him, he will stick his crutch out and trip you. He has gone out of his way to get in other people's ways, just for enjoyment. It's not even about, oh no, I'm forced to walk so slow, it's that, If I'm late to class, I get in trouble and am not allowed to take the quiz for that day, and teachers won't take, I was stuck behind the cripple kid, as an excuse.
