-79 No matter how many times your English teacher covers it, you have no idea the difference between lay and lie. Amirite?

1. I like to lay down on my bed. 2. I don't usually lie to my parents.

I was going to vote your comment up, as those uses of lie and lay are correct, but then I read your username.

I lay my head down, but after school I lie down. I lay that notebook down, but I lie in my bed when I go to sleep. I lay the sweatshirt in the laundry basket, but she lies down next to her dog. You tell your little sister "go lie down"
