So by that logic, 95% of country music is "good music?" That doesn't sound right.

Na, Eminem has those type of good emotional songs. I know, not all of them, most of his songs though.

Music isn't literature; it doesn't need a fucking story. Maybe the lyrics, the poetry to songs is what you mean? But in instrumental music or orchestral pieces just need to convey emotion from the listener. It's very frustrating how this post is in high positives.

I'm sorry this frustrates you. In my opinion, there are 2 kinds of good music; music I was talking about with emotional lyrics, or musically entertaining music. For example, there can be music that is the most beautiful symphony, yet still contain lyrics that are about partying at clubs and this and that, but it's still good music because of the entertainment. On the other hand there is music that can be full of a beautiful story of 2 falling in love, and it could just have the most annoying tune ever. Yet, still to me that 's good music. What I meant to purvey by posting this was that I myself enjoy music like Eminem, or country, or whatever lyrics I feel like I can connect to. I didn't say everything else was bad music, mind you. I'm gonna assume people either voted me positive because they feel the same, or perhaps they just did it cause it already gained a considerable amount of positives. Eitherway, I mean, you don't need to let it ruin your day man :/

There is music without lyrics altogether- music is often better when it tells a good story, but any music that sounds pleasing to somebody is, to them, good music. However, there is no universally good or bad music. That would imply it's found that way be everybody, which no music is. One can argue whether or not something is even music, but not whether or not it's good music (assuming it's agreed that it's actually music).
