+667 It bothers you when you have a complete series of books, and they're not all hardcover or paperback, but instead a mixture of the two. amirite?

Well it's your fault for not paying the extra money for a complete hardcover set or waiting patiently for the soft cover editions to come out. It bothers me when I see OTHER people with half and half sets though.

I have part of a series of books, and it's taking forever for the next paperback to come out. There's 5 books out, and the 4th one isn't in softcover.

Well yes, that's pretty normal. But you don't necessarily have to wait that long to READ the book, just hold off on buying it. It's the trade off for paying almost half the price you would for the hardcover edition.

I usually don't think hardcover is worth the price it is for most books.

It also stinks when you have a set of books and a family member or someone reads them, and misplaces a book.. you can't read the harry potter series if you're missing book 2, and you can't finish a series of unfortunate events if you're missing book 13.

I have 6, 12, and 13 from that series. It's very awkward.

I have 9, 12 and 13. And 9 is the only one in paperback D:

For Harry Potter, it's worth it to have each book as hardcover.

that is true it is the only series i am willing to but hard cover. i wont even get the flower in the attic books in hard cover and they're my second favourite.

Ugh. We have books 1-4 in paperback and they are destroyed, while 5-7 in hardback are in perfect condition.

As long as I can read them... xD It's true that paperback gets damaged more easily though.
