Maybe if Americans were more proud of their country, they wouldn't have let it get to its current state.

Ever talk to a Texan?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a group of people who are more proud and nationalistic than Americans.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In my experience, Americans are like the most patriotic people I've ever seen. :/ Though I might just be judging that by all the American flags I see in people's yards and on their cars whenever I'm over there.

What I mean is that recently, Americans are pretty apathetic about what's going on in their own country and would rather not think about the state of things than try and effect change. I really wonder if push came to shove, would people be willing to do whatever it takes to protect their country? Or do they just not care anymore?

ENGLAND 'TILL I DIE

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There's nothing wrong about being proud of where you come from and live, but some people take it too far. In England, we call those people the BNP. They essentially want everyone who isn't 100% British out of the country.

Hey OP: you sir can go fuck yourself. I'm from texas, and I'm in the navy. If you cant be proud of where you came from, then how can you be proud of yourself? Fuck you, ungrateful prick. Next time you think about this, think of the men and women who died so you could sit here and bash your country.

I never even said anything about Texas. Or the Navy. Okay, you're from Texas and you're proud of your country. Nothing wrong with that. Don't get your panties up in a bunch and calm your tits. I was talking about those people who talk about their country nonstop and who look down on other people who don't come from their country. Ethnocentric people. And I'm very much grateful for people who fight and die for our country. I have friends who are fighting in the war and a brother who will soon join the Army. And I never bashed on any country. Stop making assumptions of a simple post.
