+202 Isn't it a little ridiculous that Hollywood films portraying foreigners have them speak to one another in English with an accent of their own language, rather than in their own language altogether? I'm German, but I never speak to mai fazer like zis, ja... amirite?

Suspension of disbelief. I know that's not the language the character should actually be speaking, but it's a much better method than using subtitles.

It's not ridiculous, it's nice of them. It's either that or they could speak completely in foreign and you wouldn't understand shit. Who cares what the words are, as long as it sounds like the language?
