Why should I be offended by something that I can see the humor in?

Kind of like a dead baby joke? like it's kind of sorta funny but you know you shouldn't laugh and with that thought in your mind of "Don't laugh, don't laugh"' you end up laughing anyways? and then your first born child comes out with a mental handicap. karma... tisk, tisk. You shouldn't have laughed at that dead baby joke.
