-209 With condoms becoming so expensive, we should all just turn gay, amirite?

If you can't afford 9$ for 12 condoms, you probably can't afford a kid, and probably shouldn't be having sex until your ready for worst case scenario.

Amen.

I know I'm gonna get a negative score, (cause having a different opinion than the majority is evil) but I have to disagree. That's like saying you shouldn't drive unless you're ready to live the rest of your life in a wheelchair or you shouldn't cook unless you're ready for your house to burn down. Sex is something we're all hardwired to crave once we hit puberty and simply not having it unless you're prepared for a kid is a really extreme and paranoid option. Just be RESPONSIBLE about it. If the guy wears a condom and the girl takes birth control or has a morning after pill or whatever effective method of anti-baby making she prefers (in case the condom fails), then I say it's perfectly fine to do it even if you despise the thought of having kids of your own.

I agree, to a degree. Everything you do has a risk, you just need to be willing to take that risk and deal with the consequences if something goes wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly, everything DOES have risks, but we can't just shut ourselves away and not do anything just because we fear the worst case scenario. Like my two examples pointed out, many of the things that are a necessity of everyday life can have HUGE consequences. However, if you're responsible, cautious and don't try to do something that you know you're clearly not qualified or capable of doing, then that risk should be very minor. As I pointed out, condom + female's choice of effective birth control = ludicrously slim odds of pregnancy. If you know how to cook halfway competently, and have a fire extinguisher around (which you should anyway) then your house burning down when you cook? Probably not gonna happen. (cont'd)

I do understand what you're getting at though. You can't hop in a car one day in Maine and decide you're going to disneyland if you've never driven before, nor should you ever have sex without the proper protection (unless, of course, it's with a trusted monogamous partner and you're both ready to have a child). The message YOU put out there, however, was that you simply shouldn't do anything unless you're ready for the absolute worst case scenario. As I've said before, that's just much too extreme an option. If you just take the proper precautions, you shouldn't even worry about the WCS. Life would be absolute hell if you worried about the worst case scenario for pretty much anything you do every single day.

I say we all turn catholic instead... or wipe ourselves out with a Darwinian STD

Just like freddie murcury...

not cool man

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you're gonna spew insults, at least spell Freddie Mercury's name RIGHT.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The spelling I'll give you, but nobody was spewing anything. Spewing means continuous. Non stop. An insult is something mean you say to someone. I never insulted anyone, I told the truth about a related topic. I'm pretty sure there is no greater way to reply than to do exactly what I did. Freddie Mercury died of AIDS. That's in no way an insult, it actually happened. You don't gotta be dickish about it.

With food being so expensive, we should all just turn anorexic, amirite?

But I like Titties :(

anal sex without a condom? DO YOU WANT HIV OR WHAT??

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In the spirit of humor, yes, that'd be funny, for like 5 minutes. But really? No

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Birth rates would fall drastically, but HIV/AIDS rates would skyrocket. If it were me, I'd rather take the baby.

How did this horrible suggestion even come to your mind...?
