Let's get this cleared up. If you're gay, you don't like EVERY guy in the world, just like I, as a girl, don't like every guy in the world. Dumbledore probably wasn't a pedophile, but that's just my opinion. The more likely reason that he payed attention the Harry was... He's Harry freaking Potter, not that he had a secret crush on him. But hey, that's jut my opinion.

Exactly. He WAS supposed to live to defeat Voldemort, so I would keep an eye on him too.

I agree, but not in the "hehe Dumbledore was a paedo because he's gay" way, I don't think he was sexually obsessed, but I think it would have been noticable to the other students that both he and McGonigal gave Harry a lot more attention. Like, McGonigal bought him a fucking broomstick in the first book, that's a shitload of favourtism right there. And even though we know now that Dumbledore paid Harry extra attention becuase Harry was meant to kill Voldemorte, to any other student it would just seem really unfair. It was even noted when Ron and Hermione got shit in Dumbledore's will that seemed odd to the will guy (I forget his name) because even though Dumbledore was close to Harry, he never really paid much attention to Ron or Hermione outside of them being Harry's best mates.

Maybe cause Dumbledore's the only one who heard the prophecy and knows that Voldemort will return and knows that Voldemort wants to kill Harry and knows that Harry must defeat him and knows that Harry is a horcrux
