+254 Back in the old days when astrologists attempted to predict the orbit of Mercury, they created a new, invisible planet called "Vulcan" in an attempt to explain why they couldn't get their predictions right. How could they have explained that? "Well, we were almost right, but then this other planet came out of nowhere and.. actually, never mind. You've probably never even heard of it." amirite?

A post that taught me something and is funny, good job! Scientists are too conceited to swallow their pride and say they were wrong, which is y it's all so complicated!

Ummmm... Scientists are actually probably the people that admit to being wrong the most.

Nope, real events in history. Our knowledge of gravity wasn't good enough to accurately judge this, so they invented Vulcan. Vulcan just so happens to be where Mr. Spock is from. :P
