+244 At some time, you've wondered how people would react if you brought back a TI-84 Graphing Calculator to the 1960's, amirite?

I think an iPhone would be even more impressive than a graphing calculator ;)

I think they'd burn you at the stake for being a witch.

1960s, not 1760s.

1560's-1690's. Witch hunts were largely over with by the beginning of the 18th century.

I'm sorry, I'm rusty on my history. I just knew it had something to do with Massachusetts, which gave me a time period before modern science and after America's discovery.

I think if you gave one to the hippies it wouldn't matter if you gave them a calculator or a brick, really.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Pretty much any technology for that matter

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The coolest thing you could think of that we've made since the 1960's .... is a calculator

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They wouldn't shit their pants as much as if you brought back a TI-89, those things are legit.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

fo reals, you know it's an intense calculator when they don't let you use it in a standardized testing environment.

Haha, 'tis true. I freaking love that thing, makes all the tedious work of solving quadratics, expanding, etc. so much easier.

Aww, shit. I've never actually seen someone use one of those in real life. The NSpire is like Mew, you know it exists but seeing it out in the wild is like a dream come true!

All the high schoolers in my school get the tnspire but its not quite that fancy...

I needed one for statistics last year and it was awesome. I would always type up notes on the computer and then just transfer them to it. It had a My Documents folder just like any computer, it was pretty much a mini computer itself. I adored it, but I have to use an 84 for Calc, so it's just sitting in my closet :(

I had to buy a Ti-83 plus one today...$80 for something I'll barely use.
