+191 Imagine kids' family heritage projects far in the future: "I am 5% Italian, 2% Irish, .887% German, .632% Scottish, .3618% French..........", amirite?

eventually, everyone's skin will be somewhere in the middle. none, or very few people, will have all white, black, or brown skin. it'll be a medley of all races and nationalities that have ever existed. I don't think people will care about their heritage very much if they're only 1% of something.

The Great Wall of China apparently did not serve one of its purpose if there are no all Chinese people. Also Japanese people will go from being about 98.5% Japanese to nobody looks like they do.

I don't think everyone's skin will actually be the same middle-ish color. I know that some mixed-race people have a mixture of their parents' skin, but sometimes people have very dark skin from only one parent. It's kind of like hair color; a blond parent and a brunette parent probably won't have a kid with a hair color that's a mixture of the two. Also, there will always be mutations that happen regardless of how their parents look.

That's very true. Regardless, it would be rare to find someone very dark or very pale.

'I'm 50% earthling'

Wrong. You can't be 5% italian. You can only be x/2^n.

I think this type idea is mainly based off where you and your parents were born. Like if your parents were both born in Italy and you were born in Italy then you would be Italian. Or if you were born in Canada but your parents are born in Italy then you are a third Canadian and two thirds Italian. That's how I feel it works. Not to do with your grandparents or anyone else.
