+566 It's embarrassing when your math teacher informs you you don't understand a problem because you were doing something stupid in the process, like 2+2=5, amirite?

Sounds like someone was listening to too much Radiohead.

2.4+2.4=4.8 Round 2.4 to 4 and 4.8 to 5. Now you have 2+2=5

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how about no.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not a valid counterexample. Oh and the value of Pi isn't 3.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Indeed it isn't

Since you're rounding it would be 2 plus 2 equals ABOUT (you know that equal sign that's made of squiggles?) 5. Not equal to 5.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why would you round 2.4 to 4? Wouldn't it be rounded to 3?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Of course, if you've been reading 1984 at the time, 2+2=5 is a logical conclusion.
