+538 When you notice something irritating or off about someone else, you do something to yourself as if to prevent it. i.e., when someone's shirt is lifted you pull yours down, or when someone has food on their mouth while you're eating you wipe yours, amirite?

It would actually be "e.g.", because i.e. means "in other words" while e.g. means "for example".
