+282 If you think about it, the amout of pain that is involved in a bee sting is about as much as a good pinch; it is fact that a bee is viciously thrusting its stinger into your flesh that makes you run around waving your arms frantically like a jack-in-the-box, amirite?

Today... after we came in from lunch there was a bee on my hair and I didn't notice for like three minutes until my friends started to freak out. I got it off but then it flew around the the school and scared everyone for a good three periods until someone smacked it. End of unrelated story.

Last summer I was standing outside waiting for someone. I'd been standing calmly, not moving, for about two minutes when a wasp landed on my foot (I was wearing flip-flops) and stung me. I have NO IDEA what I did to piss it off. End of also unrelated story.

Ah. I'm sorry. I've actually never been stung before by a wasp or a bee... I have been stung twice by a horsefly though. That hurts like crazy.

I've never been stung, but one time I sat on a bee and it's stinger went into my leg. Does that count? Also, yellow jacket stings hurt like a bitch and the pain takes forever to go away.

I can't speak for bees, but wasp stings hurt for days.

don't horseflies bite, not sting?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i believe horse flys bite, but good story :)

Eh. I don't know anything about insects.

I think it hurts more than that. Besides, the pain lasts a lot longer.

I love bees :) My friends always flip out but for some reason standing underneath a giant tree filled with like, 1 million bees floating around above your head is really calming for me :) Lol

No it's a bee stabbing you with their ass, how is that not worse?

I had a bee sting me posthumously, its little bee friends buried it in the sand at the beach and I stepped on its grave. I could barely walk for the next few days because my foot swelled up. I'd say that's a little worse than a pinch...
