+207 It'd be totally hilarious if the person who invented the word meme actually meant for it to be pronounced differently. So now every time he/she sees a person be all like "IT'S PRONOUNCED MEME, LIKE SCREAM!" to just be like "No, no it's not." How do we know? We almost always see it written on the internet. amirite?

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I always assumed it was pronounced meme, but then I saw a hayleyghoover video and she pronounced it meme, so now I say meme. Now it makes sense.

In french, there is a word called "meme" with a bracket over the 'e' so it's pronounced mehm.
